Looking for a Job....

I have been looking for permanent full-time work for 3 years. I have been taking temp assignments until THE job finds me. I have to say, though, how disheartening it is to not have the opportunity to meet the potential employer. By that I mean, if you try to drop a resume off - they ask if I have filled out an application online....  Ok. Now, instead of competing with maybe 45 or so other applicants , I am up against - no lie - 3,000 people applying for the same job!  Another job I applied for only had 299 & me, not so bad, I guess. At least the employers have lots to choose from.  Well, back to filling out more online applications!
