Man Sentenced to 6 Years In Apartment Shooting
The shooting occurred at the Fox View apartment complex in Carpentersville in 2017.

CARPENTERSVILLE, IL -- A 24-year-old Chiacgo man has been sentenced to six years in prison for injuring a man in a 2017 shooting at an apartment complex in Carpentersville. Stephen L. Brown, of the 400 block of West 117th Street, pleaded guilty last week to attempted aggravated battery with a firearm for his role in the shooting on the 0 to 99 block of Oxford Lane at about 3:46 p.m. Jan. 3, 2017, the Daily Herald reports.
The shooting occurred at the Fox View apartment complex. Police used security video to identify Brown as a suspect in the shooting, according to the Daily Herald.
The victim was shot in the leg and was hospitalized for about two to three days before being released.
