MCCD Release Fall Programs’ List
Find out what fun the local conservation district has in store for residents this fall.
McHenry Co:McHenry County Conservation District’s fall program offerings are loaded with both indoor and outdoor nature enthusiast adventures. Join in Fort Building Fun, witness Migratory Madness, or get Stoked About Oaks. People of all ages will enjoy getting outdoors and dropping in to catch Autumn Wildflowers on the Move, or listening to Storytelling at the Amphitheater. Tour behind the scenes at Sites Seldom Seen:Community Research Forest or take in the fall colors along Nippersink Creek on a Fall Kayak Trip. There is something for everyone! Most programs are free.

Registration opens for County residents on August 10, Non-residents August 20 and is accepted online, by phone (free programs only) at (815) 479-5779, by mail and walk-in at Prairieview Education Center, 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake, or drop-off only at Lost Valley Visitor Center, Route 31 and Harts Rd. in Ringwood.
