Mexican Restaurant Closes After 'Cooks Walk Out'

ALGONQUIN, IL — A Mexican restaurant that just opened in Algonquin has temporarily closed its doors after its cooks walked out, according to a Northwest Herald report. A sign hanging on the door at El Niagara, 2561 County Line Road, stated the restaurant plans to reopen at the end of October, "once we [train] much better cooks."
The restaurant opened Aug. 13, according to the article.
Patrons are encouraged to keep an eye on the El Niagara Mexican Restaurant Facebook page for updates on when the restaurant will reopen, according to a recorded voicemail message at the business. Restaurant officials said they will plan a grand reopening.
