New Cycling Shop Opens in Algonquin

Cycling enthusiasts have another place to go in the area for bike equipment and tune-ups.

Cycling Republic opened in March at 2397 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, according to the Cycling Republic Facebook page. The first weekend open, the bike shop reported heavy foot traffic and a great response from the community, according to the Facebook page.

The shop sells bicycles and also offers bike repair services, according to the Facebook page.

"We may be a new shop, but our staff has well over a decade of bicycle experience in the Fox Valley," according to the shop's Facebook page.

Cycling Republic is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and and 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
