New Pizza Place Promising Personal Pies in Less Than Five Minutes to Opens in Algonquin

A new fast-casual pizza place will be opening this Friday in Algonquin and is promising to serve up personal pie options to customers in less than five minutes.

Pie Five Pizza will open its fourth location in Chicagoland just north of Harnish Drive, at 776 South Randall Road, which is right in front of the Target in Algonquin.

“Pie Five is a family-friendly restaurant perfect for the Algonquin community,” said Randy Gier, Pie Five’s CEO. “Bringing the two together is a no brainer.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Friday. On opening day, 50 percent of pre-opening proceeds will be donated to the Illinois chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Pie Five model allows patrons to top their pizzas any way they want for $6.99. Pie Five customers can create with four crusts (including artisan thin, classic pan, whole grain Neapolitan and gluten-free), seven sauces and 28 fresh toppings.

Pie Five plans to open 500 company-owned and franchise units across the country in the next five years. There are 10 more Chicago-area locations planned before the end of the year, including a Pie Five in Palatine, Bloomingdale, Elmhurst and Glenview.
