New Senior Living Facility Coming To Algonquin

Construction is underway on The Oaks at Algonquin with the facility expected to open in January 2022.

ALGONQUIN, IL — Construction is underway on a new senior living development project in Algonquin. McShane Construction Company is handling the construction of The Oaks at Algonquin.

The 166-unit residential development will be managed by Spectrum Retirement Communities, which plans to open the The Oaks in January 2022, according to a news release from McShane Companies.

“The Oaks at Algonquin will feature a floorplan designed to support the community’s provision of different levels of care for residents,” said Jeffrey Raday, president of McShane, in a news release. “This forethought, combined with the excellent selection of amenities, will make The Oaks at Algonquin a great choice for those seeking senior housing options.”

Designed by Vessel Architecture, the H-shaped building will accommodate independent living, assisted living and memory care units. The three-story building will feature wood frame construction with an exterior of masonry, stone veneer, shake and panel siding and architectural shingles, according to the news release.

The property offers a vast array of amenities for tenants, including three restaurants, a pub, salon, media lounge, theater, health club, doctor and therapist offices and a community center with a demo kitchen. The Oaks at Algonquin will feature outdoor living space that includes a rooftop deck and fire pit, grill area, dining patio, memory care garden and well-landscaped
courtyards.
