No Limit Arcade Celebrating Grand Opening this Weekend
Tuesday morning, WGN-TV will be broadcasting live from 7-9 a.m. at Algonquin's newest classic game arcade, No Limit Arcade.
There’s nothing like the glow of an arcade at night that takes you back to the days of Pinball, Pac-Man and Frogger.
Tuesday, Feb. 7, . The feature is called "Around Town" and, as the name implies, it highlights local businesses and attractions in the Chicago area. The public is welcome to attend.
Since opening in the Winding Creek Shopping Center last December, the two owners of the arcade, Mark Battaglia and Kevin Slota, said business has been good, although it’s a bit slower during the weekdays.

“Weekends have been packed,” Slota said.
After 20 years of repairing and refurbishing classic video games, Slota and Battaglia said they wanted to offer something unique to the area, but they were still deciding on a final location.

In August the men appeared before the and . Each license per video game costs $120 annually in Algonquin, which Slota said was too high, compared with Lake in the Hills’ rate of $30 per machine.
Algonquin didn’t budge on the fee amount and despite failing to get the licensing fee reduced, Slota and Battaglia went ahead and opened their arcade, located at 2719 W. Algonquin Road.
The arcade has all types of gaming machines—simulators, sports pad, a shooter’s pod and more. Future plans include installing ten 42-inch plasma TVs and setting up Xbox and Playstation 3 tournaments. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for students.
This weekend will be celebrating its grand opening. On Saturday, Feb. 11 STAR 105.5 will be broadcasting live with Joe Cicero from 2-4 p.m. and there will be several specials and giveaways.
