P.volve To Open 2nd Illinois Studio In Algonquin
The P.volve fitness method has a solid online following and will be opening more studios this year, including its second in Illinois.
ALGONQUIN, IL — Algonquin will be among the first cities in the U.S. — and the second location in Illinois —to open a P.volve studio.
P.volve, which was initially launched providing digital memberships for its users, currently has four physical studios with plans to open many more in the coming years.
It is currently selecting where to launch its franchised studios based on where its virtual community of online users is the densest, according to company officials. Algonquin has been picked for a studio, which will offer in-person P.volve training.

The company did not provide details on where the studio will be located. Patch.com has reached out for more information.
P.volve currently has four studios open across the U.S., including locations in Chicago, at 730 W. Randolph St.; San Diego; Los Angeles; and New York City. P.volve is aiming to open 250 franchised studios by 2025.

Besides Algonquin, other franchised studios are planned this year for Bergen County, N.J.; Carlsbad, California; Fort Worth, Texas and Nashville, Tenn., as well as two locations in Canada.
Company officials said the physical studios are meant to be one more way to experience P.volve’s low impact, resistance-based method. P.volve, which stands for Personal Evolution, touts itself as a science-led functional fitness method that focuses on using low-impact movement and resistance equipment for workouts.
The decision to open franchised studios after growing its digital membership is meant to provide variety for P.volve workout aficionados, said P.volve President Julie Cartwright.
“The franchise model allows us to bring P.volve’s unique method and patented equipment to more people, especially to those who crave live, in-person training,” Cartwright said. “We recognize that today’s consumer expects hybrid experiences across all aspects of their life, from work to shopping to fitness. Sometimes you just want to roll out of bed and get a killer workout at home, and other times you want to head to a class and train alongside others. P.volve can deliver on both.”
Consumers who purchase an unlimited studio membership automatically get unlimited access to P.volve’s digital offering, according to a news release.
