UPDATED July 4 Fireworks Guide: Where They're Still Happening In Chicago Area

Amid a stormy weekend, here's the latest on which Chicago-area fireworks shows are still happening and which may be rained out.

Despite a rainy weekend, it's shaping up to be a star-spangled Fourth of July as the U.S. celebrates its 250th birthday.

Patch has all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around the Chicagoland, but with an uncertain forecast, check with local municipalities and park districts before heading out.

Stormy weather—and even a lightning strike—on Thursday, Friday and Saturday made for soggy ground and some rained-out celebrations.

Storms rolled through the area again on July 4, although "most areas are favored to be rain-free for evening firework shows, but isolated showers will remain possible," the National Weather Service said Saturday afternoon.

Here's Patch's updated list as of 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Please check with the organizers' websites or social media for the latest as weather conditions change.
