Pavement Patching to Begin at Algonquin, Barrington Roads

Expect delays along the busy thoroughfare as construction gets underway on Sept. 21.

Submission by the Illinois Department of Transportation 

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced that there will be lane closures, including the turn lanes, at the intersection of Algonquin Road (Illinois 62) and Barrington Road, in South Barrington, for roadway widening, adding a right turn lane on westbound Algonquin Road, and pavement patching, beginning, weather permitting, Monday, Sept. 21.

The project will be complete by May 2016.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
