Police Release More Info On Drive-By Shootings In Lake In The Hills
Police say a red car with a shooter or shooters inside fired at a home on Deer Path Road during two separate occasions earlier this month.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The Lake in the Hills Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down the shooter or shooters accused of firing a gun at a home on Deer Path Road during two separate occasions earlier this month.
Authorities say the first incident happened at about 6:20 p.m. on Jan. 2 when a single gunshot was fired at a home in the 0 block of Deer Path Road. The second incident happened at about 6:35 p.m. on Jan. 3 when three gunshots were fired at the same home, hitting the residence and a vehicle parked on Deer Path Road, according to a news release from the Lake in the Hills Police Department.
No one was injured during these incident, authorities said. The shooter or shooters then fled the area.

On Thursday, authorities released more information regarding the incidents, including a description of the getaway car. Police say the car is a bright red car and is believed to be a four-door Chevrolet.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the car or the incidents to contact the Lake in the Hills Police Department's investigations division at 847-960-7546. Anyone with information can remain anonymous.
