Register Now: Lake In The Hills Veterans Day 5K

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Register now for the first annual Runway 5K, organized by the Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department.

"This unique venue will give the chance for runners to run on a fully functional airport runway," the event's Facebook page says. There will be a post-race celebration in an airplane hangar, too!

The race starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Lake in the Hills Airport at 8407 Pyott Rd. Registration is open until 7:45 a.m. You can register online only.
