Road Construction Begin in Glenmoor Subdivision This Week
Construction on 2.74 miles of roadway will be completed this summer.

ALGONQUIN, IL - Construction on various road segments in the Glenmoor Subdivision will get underway this week. The project includes full removal and replacement of 2.74 miles of existing road surface, including spot curb, gutter, driveway and sidewalk replacement, as well as other utility repairs. Access to local properties will be maintained throughout the project, however intermittent lane closures to facilitate work are expected, according to the news release.
Roads included in this project area include: Aspen Drive, Buckthorn Drive, Clematis Drive, Crabtree Lane, Glen Oaks Court, Hackberry Lane, Honey Locust Drive, Ivy Lane, Lilac Drive, Magnolia Drive, Periwinkle Lane, Prairie Drive, Redwood Drive, and Tanglewood Drive.
The project was awarded to Arrow Road Construction with a total construction cost of $1,287,755, just over $700,000 under the engineer’s cost estimate, according to a news release. The project is scheduled to be completed at the end of July 2017, weather permitting.
