Speed a Factor in LITH Crash That Killed Two: Police
A former Lake in the Hills man and a former Crystal Lake man were killed in the crash early Saturday.

Police said speed was a factor in the Lake in the Hills crash early Saturday that killed two men, the Daily Herald reports.
Police are not sure at this point how fast the Audi R8 was traveling while north on Pyott Road near East Oak Street in Lake in the Hills but do know the vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to a stop on its roof, according to the newspaper. There were no witnesses to the crash and a patrol officer happened upon the crash shortly after midnight.
The driver in the crash, Blake C. Bishop, 45, formerly of Lake in the Hills, and a passenger, John Douglas Baxter, Jr., 49, formerly of Crystal Lake, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Autopsies Monday revealed Bishop died of multiple blunt force injuries to the head and neck and Baxter died of blunt force injuries to his head, neck, chest, abdomen and extremities. Toxicology is pending for both men.
