Trial Begins For Algonquin Man Accused Of Sexual Abuse
The man was charged with sexually abusing two relatives.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The trial for an Algonquin man accused of sexual abuse began Thursday. Robert Libricz, 58, has been charged with sexual abusing two relatives over a span of 17 years. He has repeatedly denied the allegations.
The current trial only involves one woman's allegations, and the other woman's will be tried separately. The second trial has not yet been scheduled.
In court, prosecutors played audio from two conversations that one of the women recorded with Libricz without his knowledge, according to the Northwest Herald.

In one of the conversations, Libricz said, “Your mom thinks something went on. I don’t know why it went on. ... I wasn’t drunk. I wasn’t high,” the NW Herald reported.
The woman said the sexual abuse occurred between 1987 and 1989 in her home and in her family's car, according to the report.
