Two Men Charged After Gun Fired in LITH Home
One person was injured during the dispute. The gunshot did not injure anyone but did strike a neighboring home.

Two have been charged in connection with an incident that involved a gun being fired at a home in Lake in the Hills Sunday night.
John Bohun, 34, of Lake in the Hills, has been charged with reckless conduct and endangering the life of a child while Jamilie C. Tupino, 27, has been charged with two counts of domestic battery, according to Lake in the Hills Police.
Police were called to the 2900 block of Geneva Lane for a report of a dispute in progress on Dec. 20 around 10 p.m. While enroute to the scene, the caller stated that a person involved in the dispute had a gun, according to the police department news release.

When Officers arrived on scene they learned that a domestic dispute had taken place involving three adults. Two male subjects had been struggling for control of a gun when the weapon discharged. It was determined that no one was injured from the gunshot, police said.
On person was transported to Sherman Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. That person was later released. Another person was treated on scene by paramedics and refused transport to a hospital. The third adult was not injured.

A neighboring home was struck by the bullet causing minor damage. No one in that home was injured.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.
