Two Men Killed in Lake in the Hills Crash

Two men were killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Oak Street and Pyott Road in Lake in the Hills early Saturday.

The vehicle was northbound when it left the roadway, became airborne and eventually landed on its roof, according to the McHenry County Coroner’s Office press release. The driver and passenger, both middle-aged men, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Autopsies will be conducted Monday on both men killed in the crash. The identities of those killed are being withheld as authorities notify their families.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lake in the Hills Police Department and the coroner’s office.
