Village Board Approves Liquor License For Eggceptional Cafe
The local breakfast and lunch cafe on West Algonquin Road will now be able to serve alcohol.
ALGONQUIN, IL — The Algonquin Village Board has approved a liquor license for a breakfast and lunch cafe in Algonquin.
On Tuesday, the Algonquin Village Board voted unanimously in favor of increasing the village's Class A-1 liquor licenses from 33 to 34 to allow for a new license for Eggceptional Cafe Breakfast and Lunch Cafe, 2749 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin, assistant village manager Michael Kumbera told Patch in an email response.
The Class A-1 liquor license allows visitors to drink alcohol on the premises and also purchase packaged alcohol to-go, according to village documents.

The Algonquin Eggceptional Cafe opened in 2020 and offers a full-service breakfast menu and American-style breakfast meals, including eggs, pancakes, skillets, oatmeal, sandwiches and more. The local chain also has locations in Carol Stream, Bartlett and Bloomingdale.
