Watch for Local Teen on ‘The Voice’ This Week
Riley Elmore, 16, has made Season 11 of the The Voice.

WEST DUNDEE, IL - Dundee-Crown High School choir standout Riley Elmore, 16, has been making quite the impression during his debut week on The Voice. During blind auditions, judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton were both gunning to get Elmore to join their team after he sang Frank Sinatra’s The Way You Look Tonight.
At one point during the blind auditions, which aired Tuesday on NBC, Levine says he’d “like to start his coaching now and got up on stage with Elmore. He encouraged Levine to “loosen up” and then began to start singing The Way You Look Tonight. Elmore eventually joins in. Elmore did end up choosing Levine, the singer for Maroon 5, as his coach.
Elmore’s parents, Michael and Joan, and his sister, Lily, a freshman at Dundee-Crown, can be seen celebrating backstage throughout Elmore’s performance, according to the Daily Herald.

Dundee-Crown High School was abuzz on Monday over Elmore’s debut on The Voice - a preview clip was posted online and show to students, according to the Daily Herald. Elmore is a junior at Dundee-Crown and came to the high school from Immanuel Lutheran School.
"Everyone's cheering him on," Dundee-Crown choir teacher Lisa Bettcher told the Daily Herald. "He's a very well-liked and admired kid."
