Yogen Fruz Slated to Open This Weekend

A new frozen yogurt shop will be opening Saturday at the Algonquin Commmons, accoding to the Algonquin Commons Facebook page.

The new Yogen Fruz will be located in the former location at 1624 S. Randall Road.

It is set to be the largest Yogen Fruz franchise in Illinois, covering 2,300 square feet, according to an email statement from co-owner Arsala Alam. She will run the business alongside her husband, Sabih Alam.

Yogen Fruz offers a variety of soft-serve probiotic yogurt as well as premium coffee.

“We are aspiring to incorporate a lounge-style atmosphere with lots of seating, free Wi-Fi and iPads displayed on the counters for customer use,” Alam wrote in the e-mail.
