The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for the weekend prompting the opening of Alsip-Crestwood cooling centers.

ALSIP-CRESTWOOD, IL -- It’s going to be a scorcher this weekend, with a dangerous combination of heat and humidity predicted for the Chicago area. The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch in effect from Saturday, June 16, to Monday, June 18.
Please check on elderly family members and neighbors. If think someone might be in endanger, or notice someone in trouble in the public way, call 911 and request a well being check.
