Alsip, Crestwood PD Stake Out Dunkin Donuts For Special Olympics

Alsip and Crestwood police will stake out the rooftops of Dunkin Donuts stores May 18 to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.

ALSIP-CRESTWOOD, IL -- Alsip and Crestwood police will be sitting on top of Dunkin Donuts shops in their respective communities to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois athletes. The 2018 Cop on a Rooftop event will be held statewide at Dunkin Donuts stores on Friday, May 18. More than 293 law enforcement agencies plan to participate.

Officers will be accepting donations to be used for training 22,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and promote 20 sports through more than 180 competitions. Police will also have Special Olympics T-shirts available, Torch Run hats and Special Olympics coffee thermos mugs -- while supplies last. All proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics Illinois.

Alsip police will camped out from 5 a.m. to noon at Dunkin Donuts locations at 11843 S. Pulaski Road and 12150 S. Cicero Ave., Alsip.

Crestwood police be staking out the roof of the Dunkin Donuts shop at 13661 Cicero Ave., Crestwood, from 5 a.m. to noon.
