Alsip Park District Dedicates New Disc Golf Course This Tuesday

ALSIP, IL — Residents are invited to the dedication of DiscGo Park in Alsip this Tuesday, July 16, starting at 5 p.m. The long-in-the making disc golf park features a 9-hole course. Instead of golf clubs and balls, disc golf utilizes discs, which are thrown from tee greens at targets. The object is to get as close to the target with as few throws as possible. DiscGo is located west of Sprayfari Aquatic Park, at 11930 S Kostner Ave., Alsip.

Following the dedication, join park district officials at Mary J. Lynch Skatepark starting at 7 p.m. The Alsip Park District wants to hear residents' thoughts on the proposed redevelopment plan for the park at 119th Street and Kostner Avenue.
