Alsip Park District Offers Spooky Fun at 'All Hallows Eve' Carnival and Parade, Oct. 22
Wear your costume and guess the weight of a huge pumpkin, bounce on inflatables and treat or trunk this Saturday at the Apollo Rec Center.

ALSIP, IL -- Princesse, ghosts, vampires and superheroes are invited to show their Halloween costumes in the Alsip Park District’s All Hallow’s Eve Carnival and Parade this Saturday, at the Apollo Recreation Center, 12521 S Kostner Ave, Alsip. The carnival starts at 9:30 a.m.
Arrive early to enter the costume contest. After the parade the winners will be announced and the gym will be open with games and inflatables to play on. There will be lots of prizes and a chance to guess the weight of a huge pumpkin and the number of candies in a jar. Also don't miss the pumpkin decorating. Grab some popcorn and a beverage before leaving Each child will receive a bag for prizes upon entering the carnival. Pre-register by calling 708-389-1003 to guarantee admission and don't forget to wear a costume.
Immediately following the carnival, hang around for trick or treating around the Apollo Parking lot. Local families and businesses will deck out their vehicles in Halloween decor and open their trunks to pass out candy to trick or treaters.

This is a safe alternative to trick or treating around the neighborhood. This event will be supervised by Alsip Park District staff and parents are welcome to travel from trunk to trunk with their children. Families are encouraged to dress in their favorite costumes and bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Haunts Against Hunger Food Drive. If the weather turns spooky, trunk or treat will not take place as scheduled.
Those interested in hosting a station during Trunk or Treat, please register at the main office. No registration is necessary for trick or treaters.
