Be Prepared For Alsip-Crestwood To Enact Snow Parking Rules

With a winter weather advisory in effect, be prepared for Alsip and Crestwood to enact snow parking rules.

ALSIP-CRESTWOOD, IL — With a winter storm watch in effect through Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon for Cook, Will, LaSalle Kendall and Grundy counties, now is probably a good time to remind Alsip and Crestwood residents of their respective town’s snow parking rules.

Heavy snowfall with totals in excess of six inches is expected in many areas, including southern Cook County beginning Tuesday morning and will continue through Wednesday afternoon.

Plow drivers in Alsip have no problem plowing in cars that are illegally parked. Such vehicles also risk being ticketed and towed. In addition to not parking on Crestwood streets after two inches of snowfall, vehicles are prohibited from parking for longer than three minutes to pick up or drop off passengers, or 30 minutes to unload property. The rules apply when snow begins to fall and for a period of up to eight hours after the snow stops falling after two or more inches of snow.
