Charles & Co. Takes Charge Of Stage At Worth Township Foundation Party

ALSIP, IL — Charles & Co. will take charge of the stage at the Worth Township Foundation’s upcoming fundraiser Thursday, Aug. 15. The party forms from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Worth Town Center, 11601 S. Pulaski Road, Alsip.

The evening features light appetizers, pop, water, and beer and wine cash bar. Dance the night away to live music by Charles & Co. that plays throughout the Chicago area. Proceeds from the benefit will help provide additional resources and services to the residents of Worth Township.
Charles & Co. are not only a Chicago-based band of seasoned musicians, they are also entertainers. The band plays a wide selection of dance music from Motown, classic rock, swing and blues to standards, reggae and 50s oldies. They may even throw in a polka.

“Charles and Company is a band that caters to its audience, they don't have a set song list. The shows consist of dance music from Motown, Classic Rock, Swing, Blues, to Standards, Reggae and 50's. The Worth Township Foundation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that helps provide extra funds to service the community, including the food pantry, senior services, youth commission, Christmas Care, Apple Tree, coat drive and general assistance fund that helps ease the financial burden of rent, utilities, groceries, and clothing.

Earlier this month, the Worth Township Foundation handed out 400 backpacks and school supplies to children living in the township.

“School is so important and getting a good start on life,” said former Evergreen Park mayor and foundation president Jim Sexton. “Every kid and parent thanked us. With inflation many families cannot afford school supplies. Whether its food, meals, senior services, this is what the foundation does. We’re there for residents facing financial difficulties and we’re happy to help.”

Tickets are $50. Mail or drop off payment at the Worth Township Center, 11601 S. Pulaski Road, Alsip, 60803, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or purchase tickets online. You can also buy them at the door. Call 708-972-7840 for more information.
