Disgruntled Temp Worker Wanted For Deleting Computer Files: Cops
When Alsip company told temp worker that her services were no longer needed, she got mad and deleted computer files, cops said.

ALSIP, IL -- An arrest warrant was issued for a disgruntled temp worker who tried to erase computer files at at an Alsip company, police said. Silvia Alvarez, 27, of Chicago, is wanted for attempted computer tampering. The detective told the judge that police have left several messages for Alvarez, but she has not returned their calls.
According to police, Alvarez worked as a temporary worker for three weeks at DAMS Inc., 5919 W. 118th St. The detective said when her work wasn’t satisfactory, the company left messages telling her not to come back.
On March 9, Alvarez showed up for work anyway. When she was told that her services were no longer needed, the detective said Alvarez deleted all the computer files she had been working on. Alvarez allegedly went back to the temp agency and signed a written confession.
The detective said that an IT professional was able to restore the deleted files at company expenses. A warrant carrying a $3,000 bond was issued for Alvarez’s arrest.
