Drive-Thru Food Pantry Planned Thursday In Alsip
Worth Township will be distributing free produce and food staples Thursday, Aug. 20, from ESDC "Food For Hope."

ALSIP, IL — Worth Township will be holding another emergency food distribution event this Thursday, Aug. 20. Produce and food staples will be distributed starting at 2 p.m. until supplies run out at town hall, 11601 S. Pulaski Road, Alsip.
The food drop is being coordinated by the Economic Strategies Development Corporation, which endeavors to enhance the socioeconomic well-being of communities, businesses, and individuals through sustainability and financial independence.
With serious challenges in high and low-income neighborhoods alike, a disproportionate impact of COVID-19 in communities of color, loss of income, and demand from food banks and pantries, SDC partners with corporations, businesses and individuals, ESDC is able to give away large amounts of produce and food for free.
