Free Property Tax Appeals Offered At Worth Township

Worth Township officials will file free property tax appeals on residents' behalf with the Cook County Assessor through Aug. 30.

ALSIP, IL — If you are like the thousands of property owners throughout Cook County who got sticker shock from your latest tax bill, Worth Township is open for tax appeals until August 30. The free service is availble only to township residents.

You can stop by the township center at 11601 S, Pulaski Road, or call and leave a message at 708-371-5557. Please speak clearly and leave your name, phone number, address, and property index number (PIN).

The township will file an appeal on behalf of residents with the Cook County Assessor’s Office. Once the appeal is filed, the township will contact residents when their appeals are filed. It takes about eight weeks to receive a letter from the assessor’s office. A record number of appeals are anticipated and numerous requests have already been filed.
