Golf Reopens Friday At Fountain Hills With New Pandemic Rules
Expect strict social distancing, contactless reservations and no touch ball cups when golf reopens May 1 under new state rules in Alsip.
ALSIP, IL — Illinois residents will get a glimpse of the “new normal” in the age of coronavirus when golf courses reopen on Friday, May 1. Expect strict social distancing rules, contactless reservations and “no touch” ball cups at Fountain Hills Golf Course, 12601 S Kedzie Ave., in Alsip. Bring hand sanitizer.
Fountain Hills will be open for restricted play under rules provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to courses statewide under the Illinois governor's renewed coronavirus-prevention orders in effect throughout May.
Hours are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. All tee times must be made in advance by 708-388-4653, ext. 401, online at the park district or through GolfNow. Fountain Hills is only accepting credit card payments. No refunds will be given for ejections or no shows. Scorecards can be downloaded at home from the Alsip Park District website.

Tee time slots are for a maximum of two players with no exceptions, and may not combine with other twosomes. Social distancing must be observed, with players maintaining a 6-foot distance at all times. Face coverings required to be worn by executive order. Players must arrive fifteen minutes before tee time and change into golf shoes at their car.
Cups on putting greens have also been modified to allow for ball retrieval without the need to touch any surfaces. Rakes, water stations, ball washers, sand buckets and bag stand have been removed from the golf course. Players are not allowed to handle the flag sticks at any time.

The Back Nine will offer a limited food and beverage menu from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Orders must be made by phoning in your order and paid for by credit card at 708-388-4653, ext. 403. Food will be delivered to a designated area on the patio where players can pick up their orders.
Players or those with household members showing symptoms of COVID-19 should not play. Patrons who see a rule being violated on the course or have any concern may call 708-388-4653, ext. 400.
For the health and safety of staff and players, the rules below will be strictly enforced. Any failure to follow these rules will result in ejection from the course.
