Hiring Event Connects Job Seekers With Advanced Manufacturing Careers

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL -- The 1000 Jobs Campaign will connect job seekers with employers seeking to fill open manufacturing positions at the the Southland Regional Manufacturing and Logistics Hiring Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The hiring fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at University Park Town Center, 90 Town Center Dr, University Park.

Attendees should bring a resume and prepare to spend an hour. Open positions include:

• Packers
• CNC
• CDL Class A Drivers
• Machine Operators
• Warehouse
• Welders
• Forklift Drivers
• Maintenance Mechanics

Manufacturing and logistics experience is required. The 1000 Jobs campaign, led by World Business Chicago, the Advisory Council for Chicagoland Manufacturing, and partners, will place 1,000 Chicagoans on paths to manufacturing careers by bringing together employers, community based organizations, workforce development and job placement resources.
