History Performers Bring Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln to Life in Interactive Program
The Alsip-Merrionette Park Library District presents "Visiting the Lincolns" on Feb. 11.

ALSIP, IL -- The Alsip-Merrionette Park Public Library District invites community members to visit President Abraham Lincoln and First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln on Saturday, Feb. 11. The interactive program starts at 2 p.m. and is the perfect way to celebrate the 16th president’s birthday.
Actors Michael Krebs ad Debra Ann Miller bring the First Couple to life in “Visiting With the Lincolns.” Unexpected guests arrive at the White House on April 14, 1865, as the First Couple prepare to step out later that evening to the Ford Theater.
The Lincolns entertain as best they can with anecdotes and yarns. Relieved that the Civil War is finally over, Mary is still overcome with grief from the loss of two of her young sons. Her husband, Abraham, vows to continue the struggle for which so much was sacrificed.
