Men in "suspicious" vehicle behind Crestwood restaurant charged with possession of a controlled substance."

CRESTWOOD, IL -- A pair of Peotone men were arrested after police found suspect heroin in their car along with paraphernalia behind a Crestwood restaurant, prosecutors said Friday in court.
Anthony Cousten, 27, and Kyle Jane, 21, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. The two were arrested on Dec. 15.
According to the charges, employees at a restaurant called police to report a suspicious car behind the building. When officers arrived, they saw both men allegedly making furtive movements inside the vehicle.

Crestwood officers said they observed needles, used syringes, a cap and a small baggie of suspect heroin inside the vehicle. Both men had pinpoint pupils consistent with drug use, the prosecutor said.
The prosecutor said Cousten had two prior convictions for manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $150,000.

Jane had no prior criminal background. The judge released him on a $25,000 I-bond and weekly drug testing.
“I’m going to give you the key to the jail,” Judge Felice said. “If somebody tries to stick a needle in you tell them to go to hell.”
Both men are due back in court Jan. 9 in Bridgeview.
