Crestwood man accused of throwing peanut butter jar at Stacked and stealing some papers.
CRESTWOOD, IL -- A 20-year-old man is accused of breaking into a Crestwood restaurant and stealing some papers. John Lopresti appeared before Cook County Judge Terry Gallagher on felony charges of burglary and criminal damage to property. Lopresti is also facing misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol by a minor.
Police were on patrol around 6:20 p.m. March 3, when an officer noticed a broken window at Stacked Pancake House at South Cicero Avenue and 143rd Street in Crestwood. While investigating the broken window at Stacked, the officer received a call of a man, later identified at Lopresti, damaging another store three blocks away, the prosecutor said. The man was reportedly wearing a jacket with the word “RAM” on it.
Lopresti was seen on Stacked security video wearing the same clothing and allegedly throwing a jar of peanut butter at the restaurant’s window. The prosecutor said Lopresti was also seen knocking over milk crates and removing certification papers from the restaurant.
