No-Bond Warrant Issued for Fugitive On the Lam in Hot Car: COURT
Alsip police are looking for a Lynwood man who led officer on high-speed chase, cop tells court.

ALSIP, IL -- An arrest warrant was issued for a Lynwood man who allegedly led Alsip police on a wild chase in a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Indiana.
Alsip police told the court that one of their officers chased a vehicle driven by Alexander Dennis, 24, that was clocked driving 72mph in a 40mph speed zone on Jan. 20. After running the plate, the officer learned that the car had been reported stolen the day before in Hammond, IN.
When the officer pulled up next to Dennis near 120th Street and Springfield Avenue, Dennis allegedly took off, reaching speeds in excess of 70mph.. The driver of the reported hot car turned on to Pulaski, blowing through red lights, the detective said.

The officer eventually called off the chase. The vehicle had been reported stolen from a gas station in Hammond, IN.
“That’s his m.o.,” the detective said. “He likes to hang around gas stations.”

Indiana police provide a picture of Dennis. The Alsip patrol officer positively identified Dennis as the driver.
In addition to the warrant for motor vehicle theft out of Hammond, Dennis has a no-bond nationwide arrest warrant for resisting police out of Indiana. He also served four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for aggravated robbery, the prosecutor said.
The judge issued a no-bond warrant on aggravated fleeing and eluding charges for Dennis’s arrest.
