One Of A Kind Mandala Dot Painting Class Offered At Apollo, Ages 6-14

ALSIP, IL — There’s still a lot of winter break left for kids, many who don’t go back to school until next week. If you need to get your kids out of the house or give them something to do, the Alsip Park District is hosting a winter break painting party on Jan. 4 for kids ages 6-14.

Ms. Becky will be leading kids in painting a 10-inch round tray by dot mandala designs from 1 to 2:30 p.m.in the green room at the Apollo Recreation Center, 12521 S. Kosner Ave., Alsip.

Dot Mandala Art is considered as a form of meditative art. By drawing them, you can increase concentration levels and helps minds stay calmMandalas are one of the most frequently used patterns in dot painting. The different designs and combinations that can be created are endless.

Participants will be given step-by-step instruction as they paint their own dot mandala tray that they can take home or give as a gift. No painting experience is necessary. Painting supplies will be provided.

The cost is $35/residents, $45/non-residents. Register online by Jan. 2(Activity 20023).
