PLOWS Council on Aging Offers Meals for Homebound Seniors
Adult children in town for the holidays are encouraged to call PLOWS and set up home-delivered meals for aging parents.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL -- PLOWS Council on Aging’s home delivered meals can provide the nutrition necessary for seniors to remain healthy and independent. Seniors, age 60 and over, who have difficulty preparing nourishing meals or grocery shopping may be eligible for PLOWS home-delivered meal program.
Meals are delivered by trusted volunteers Monday through Friday in the morning. Meal delivery also serves as a well-being check for homebound seniors. There is a suggested donation for meals, but seniors will not be turned away if the client is unable to meet that contribution.
Requesting meals is as simple as calling PLOWS at 708-361-0219. Our intake caseworker can explain the process and get it started. Adult children in town visiting their aged parents during the holidays are especially encouraged to call PLOWS if they think their mother or father will benefit the meals program and well-being check.
