Sertoma Centre Receives Random Act of Kindness

Menasha Packaging pays Sertoma Centre with 'random act of kindness.'

ALSIP, IL — Christina ‘Chris’ Mitros, quality assurance manager of Menasha Packaging in Alsip, surprised Sertoma’s executive director Gus van den Brink, with a donation from the company on behalf of its employees. Each year the company asks its employees to recommend a local organization to receive a monetary gift. Mitros quickly recommended Sertoma Centre, remembering that a close relative benefited from its services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, Mitros said her relative is living an independent life and working.

When presenting the donation to Sertoma, Mitros thanked Sertoma for making a difference in the lives of those who access its services.
