Shots Fired At Rider Leaving In Uber: Alsip Police
The rider told the Uber driver to leave quickly when two men started firing at the vehicle, Alsip police said.
ALSIP, IL — A person was shot at leaving in a departing Uber Monday afternoon in Alsip, police said. At the same time, a 911 caller indicated that an Uber driver’s vehicle was shot at while picking up his rider.
Around 3 p.m., Alsip police learned that the driver went to pick up a fare in the 3700 block of 119th Street, according to a police news release. When the Uber driver arrived, the rider was speaking with two men.
The rider entered the vehicle quickly and told the Uber driver to start driving away. As they left, the two suspects fired several shots at the Uber vehicle, striking it once.

No injuries were reported and the suspects fled the scene in a black Chrysler with tinted windows.
