Sprayfari Week Offers Fun At The Pool, July 10-July 16

ALSIP, IL -- Grab your kids and get ready to have a blast at Alsip’s Sprayfari Aquatic Park for a week of special events. Sprayfari Week features a safari hunt, Big Splash contest, a cardboard boat race, jungle obstacle course, an all-ages coloring contest and first-ever Olympic Game Day.

July 10 - Grab your hat, sun block and binoculars for a fun-filled safari hunt. There will be two safari hunts from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Your tour guide will give you a list of items to hunt for throughout Sprayfari Aquatic Park. Whoever finds the most items will win a ticket for a pretzel and small fountain drink from the concession stand, along with a special price.

July 11 - Christmas in July.

July 12 - Two random adult swims feature a Big Splash Contest in the deep end of the pool with participants jumping off the low drive to get the prize for the biggest splash. The grassy area behind the pool will have a ball-squirt-score contest for another opportunity to win more prices.

July 13 - Teams will compete against one another on a Jungle Obstacle Course for whoever has the energy and feels like having some fun in the sun competing against others.

July 14 - Show off your artistic talents in a coloring contest for all ages.

July 15 -- Families will have plenty of fun in the annual Sprayfair cardboard boat race. Come and roar for the boat that can paddle the fastest across the pool. Decorate your boat like a wild animal you might see on a safari or come up with your own theme.

July 16 -- Sprayfari’s first-ever Olympic Game Day offers good old-fashioned family fun at the pool, including hourly Bingo.
