Time to Fall Back: Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday, Nov. 3
Turn your clocks back one hour before you go out clubbing or to bed on Saturday,
It is almost time to "fall back" into Standard Time. Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, which means you'll want to turn your clocks back before you go to bed Saturday night, Nov. 2. Daylight Saving Time — called Daylight "Savings" Time by some — is the practice of setting the clocks forward one hour from Standard Time during the summer months, and back again in the fall, to make better use of natural daylight.
The good news for the early risers is sunrise will be about an hour earlier and there will be more light in the mornings, or if you’re a night owl, an extra hour of sleep. It also means sunset will be at 4:42 p.m. Sunday. The daylight will dwindle over the next two months as we head toward the winter solstice on Dec. 21.
While most clocks these days change on their own via satellites, you still may have to change the clock on your microwave, in your car, your coo-coo clock and other devices. You may also want to check your home surveillance system, to make sure it’s running in real time.
