Time To Review Alsip And Crestwood's Snow Parking Rules

With a winter weather advisory in effect, be prepared for Alsip and Crestwood to enact snow parking rules.

ALSIP-CRESTWOOD, IL — With a winter advisory in effect through Monday afternoon for McHenry, Lake, Kane, DuPage, Cook and Will counties, now is probably a good time to review Alsip’s and Crestwood’s snow-parking rules.

Plow drivers in Alsip have no problem plowing in cars that are illegally parked. Such vehicles also risk being ticketed and towed. According to the Village of Alsip, it takes about 12 hours to clean the streets after four to six inches of snow. Read more frequently asked questions about Alsip snow removal.

In addition to not parking on Crestwood streets after two inches of snowfall, vehicles are prohibited from parking for longer than three minutes to pick up or drop off passengers, or 30 minutes to unload property. The rules apply when snow begins to fall and for a period of up to eight hours after the snow stops falling after two or more inches of snow.
