Two Alton Men Charged in Locust Street Shooting (riverbender.com) — Two Alton men have been charged after a shooting last week in the 2200 block of Locust Street in Alton, with counts including attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. Police say the suspects were arrested in the St. Louis area and urge anyone with more information to contact Alton’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Man charged after multi-state crime spree (firstalert4.com) — An armed robbery at the Phillips 66 on East Broadway in Alton is part of what officials describe as a multi-state crime spree involving a stolen car.
