2 Die In Schaumburg Motorcycle Crash Saturday: Officials

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A motorcyclist and a passenger were killed in a Schaumburg crash Saturday afternoon, village officials said.

At about 4:15 p.m., Schaumburg police and fire personnel responded to the intersection of Golf Road and Commons Drive for a traffic crash involving a Nissan Rogue and a motorcycle, Village of Schaumburg officials said.

The motorcyclist and passenger of the motorcycle died at the scene, officials said.

One passenger in the Nissan was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

Golf Road between Plum Grove and Commons Drive was closed in both directions Saturday during the crash investigation, officials said, adding: "Please take alternate routes to avoid the area."
