Village officials said the best viewing experience will be from Frontier Days at Recreation Park. While the show will be visible from other locations, some drone imagery may appear distorted from other angles. Anyone viewing the show from south of the Village Hall campus, or from the sides, may lose some fine details.

The drone show adds another major attraction to this year’s Frontier Days, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary July 1-5 at Recreation Park. Patch previously reported the festival will feature live entertainment, carnival rides, food, family activities, the Stampede Run/Walk, Kids Dash and the annual Fourth of July parade.

The 50th annual Frontier Days Fourth of July Parade is scheduled to step off at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 4.

Limited on-street parking will be available in surrounding neighborhoods for the drone show. Additional parking is available in seven nearby commuter lots and three parking garages, all within about a 12-minute walk from Recreation Park, according to the village.

Visitors may also use Frontier Days’ free shuttle bus. Shuttle stops include Thomas Middle School, Olive Elementary School, South Middle School, the intersections of Frederick Street and Dryden Avenue, Dryden Avenue and Miner Street, Eastman Street and Dunton Avenue, and the Arlington Heights train station.

Admission to the Frontier Days festival grounds is free.
