Frontier Days Turns 50 In Arlington Heights
The July 1-5 festival will feature live music, carnival rides, food, family activities and the annual Fourth of July parade.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — One of the Northwest suburbs’ longest-running Fourth of July traditions is marking a major milestone this summer.
Frontier Days will celebrate its 50th anniversary July 1-5 at Recreation Park, 500 E. Miner St., in Arlington Heights.
Organized by the volunteer-run nonprofit Frontier Days, Inc., the festival has brought the community together since 1976 with live entertainment, family activities, carnival rides, food and one of the largest Fourth of July parades in the region.

FRONTIER DAYS GIVES BACK
Over the past five decades, Frontier Days has given nearly $3 million back to local organizations through scholarships, grants and community support initiatives, according to organizers.
The 2026 festival will feature five days of live entertainment on two stages. Scheduled headliners include 7th Heaven on July 1, Rod Tuffcurls & The Bench Press on July 2, Soul Asylum on July 3, Yachtley Crew on July 4 and American English on July 5.

The 50th annual Frontier Days Fourth of July Parade is scheduled to step off at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 4. Businesses, organizations, clubs, nonprofits and community groups are invited to participate.
Additional festival activities will include carnival rides, the Stampede Run/Walk and Kids Dash, Dog Frisbee demonstrations, pickleball, volleyball and soccer tournaments, baggo, bingo, water fights, face painting, exotic animal encounters, a magician, eating contests, a marketplace, Citizens with Disabilities Day and family-friendly entertainment throughout the five-day event.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Food and beverages will be available from local favorites including Big Ange’s Eatery, Chicago Culinary Kitchen, Flynn D City Grubs, Garibaldi’s, Genoa Italian, Greek Street Food, HD Cuisine, Rory’s Rib Shack, Taco Factory and TriCafe, along with beer and wine service.
A Wine Tasting Event is scheduled for July 3.
Admission to the festival grounds is free. A full schedule of events, entertainment lineup and additional information are available through Frontier Days.
Founded in 1976, Frontier Days is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization dedicated to hosting one of the Northwest suburbs’ premier Fourth of July celebrations. The organization is a three-time Governor’s Hometown Award winner and has been recognized as a “Best of the Best” festival.
