MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — A crash has closed the intersection of Northwest Highway and Mount Prospect Road in Mount Prospect, police said Tuesday afternoon.
At around 11:15 a.m., Mount Prospect police said officers are conducting an investigation at the intersection and traffic is currently unable to pass through the area.
Motorists are being asked to find alternate routes until the intersection reopens.
The intersection is in downtown Mount Prospect near the Metra corridor.
Additional details about the crash, including whether anyone was injured or how many vehicles were involved, were not immediately available.
