Possible Kidnapping Report Prompts Rosemont Police Response

ROSEMONT, IL — Police and fire crews responded early Monday to a report of a possible kidnapping near the Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel in Rosemont, according to a media report.

Rosemont Public Safety units were called to the hotel, 5300 N. River Road, shortly after midnight. Dispatch audio referenced an 11-year-old boy who may have been thrown from a vehicle after being kidnapped, CBS Chicago is reporting.

Patch has reached out to the Rosemont Public Safety Department for additional information.

Medics transported someone from the hotel to a hospital, but it was not immediately clear whether that person was the child referenced in the dispatch traffic.

CBS reported that Rosemont Public Safety had not yet confirmed that a kidnapping occurred. Questions also remained about who called 911 and what witnesses may have seen. Hotel security told the station it did not have information about the incident.

No suspect information or additional details about the child's condition were immediately available.
