Arlington Economic Alliance Ramps Up Website
Discover Arlington, a guide to Arlington Heights offerings, has been a major accomplishment for the Arlington Economic Alliance.
Arlington Heights has seen new businesses popping up across the village for years but now in a technology-driven world, business owners can now connect with their customers in new ways.
The Arlington Economic Alliance, an economic advisory committee on business issues for Arlington Heights, has spent their energy on new interactive media.
"We’ve been very busy over the last couple of years," said John Melaniphy, business and development coordinator for the village. "Some of the biggest accomplishments were our websites."

Discover Arlington allows users to find out what's going on locally in town, shopping directory, lodging suggestions and businesses can also use the site to amplify their presence online.
Melaniphy said the site is more user-friendly.
The economic alliance purpose and intent is "To provide the business community a strong partnership with the village and to promote a healthy business climate. The Alliance is the village board’s economic advisory committee on business issues."
Alliance Members
The Arlington Economic Alliance consists of 11 members, appointed by the village president and the village board for three year terms. The current members of the Arlington Economic Alliance are:

Regular meetings of the Arlington Economic Alliance are held at the call of the chair, which has typically been the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 a.m. in the.
